this is a sad sad collection. when you hear the name galliano, you have certain expectations, for me that would be absolute elegance and fantasy so strong its like you've had 30 doses of lsd. but i failed to see either one of these things. margiela is indeed a wonderful couture house, but it simply doesnt have enough heritage that galliano can play with, and the deconstructivism doesnt seem to be working well with john. put him back to givenchy and he'll put the house back to where hubert de g. stood for and inject a bit of jg-dna to make it go mad, put him in balenciaga and he'll probably do wonders beyond wits-end, wherever he goes, he'll do magic. just… not at margiela

Love, love, love. But I always love Margiela. Really like all of the shoes in this collection. LOVE the colour palette as well. Kind of a throwback to those odd, 70's era "Biba" colours.
