Description


This beautiful design for a head ornament was created in 1928 for the Maharaja of Patiala by Boucheron. Earlier that year, the Maharaja had arrived in the Place Vendôme accompanied by six large boxes of gemstones which he delivered to Boucheron with the request that they be used to make 149 pieces of jewellery. This design is just one of many that were drawn up as part of the most extraordinary commission the Maison has ever received.
