last season had more emotion and better renditions of Japanese craftsmanship. the only interesting thing here was the shrink wrap leg. that shine has been seen at dior , but it is delightfully vulgar here.

John is back with modernity and a nod to the future. I love his vision for Maison Margiela. Apparently sales are up 30% since John's arrival. Suzy Menkes critisized the surprising presence of hand bags in this collection as if the House sold its soul to consumerism but why should Margiela miss out on the bags. They are going to sell like hotcakes for sure. Prada and Fendi does not have the monopoly of the season's 'it bag'.
This is the Galliano show with some nods to Maision Margiela. I'm not convinced. I'm sure Renzo is happy since the brand is getting ALOT of attention because people LOVE Galliano, but the punk brutal elegance and anonymous chic of Margiela and his team has not been recaptured..

It's like Shanghai on acid!!!! I enjoyed the theatrics of the clothing and the refreshing tone it had on the audience.
As a sales manager's point of view (that works in the luxury retail),this collection must get the Margiela's boutiques staff salivating! Every piece is and can be a best seller! I personally love the translucent stockings.. Now..as a adoring fan of Mr Galliano, this is a very grown up and delicate collection,i cant stop loving it..the details on the skirts and coats are magical.. He absolutely captures the essence of elegance and fashion and translates it to 2016 for the woman of today but never forgetting the women that have come before.. Bravo John!:)

The first 2/3 of the collection were great. The Japanese section was horrible. John has done Japanese much better.
